Easter 2017

Well, Easter this particular year was definitely different.  Cody was still in the hospital on Easter Sunday.  So, I listened to church at home while Seiden fell completely asleep in her playroom in the middle of playing.  She was so exhausted from all that had happened with Cody and with her having surgery too.  However, she woke up pretty soon after church was over and then we headed up to the hospital to visit Cody in the hospital.  He was feeling so much better!  In fact, he had been able to shower, change into regular clothes, and had even been up and walking around.  It was so good to see him up and moving and with a smile on his face.  Seiden and I stayed up at the hospital for a couple of hours and then headed back home to eat lunch and make an Easter cake.  I cancelled Easter dinner because Cody wasn't going to be home, but I thought Seiden should still get to enjoy some of our Easter traditions.  So, we made an Easter bunny cake and then played for a bit until nap time.  My parents came over after Seiden's nap to hide Easter eggs so that Seiden could have an Easter egg hunt.  The Easter bunny had visited our house earlier that morning, but the Easter bunny had also visited my parent's house too.  So, they brought over some more goodies for Seiden to open up.  She loved everything she got for Easter and had a blast hunting all her Easter eggs.  After we ate some take out for dinner, we all headed back up to the hospital for one last Easter visit.  He was going to be released the next day, which was so exciting!  It was not the Easter I had planned, but God answered our prayers and brought Cody home!
