Well, as many of you know I am going back to school to get my Master's in Education. I've been back in school now for nearly a year, with only one more year left to go. But, who's counting?!?!? I've actually really been enjoying all my classes (I'm a school nerd...don't judge me!). My professors are amazing Christian men and women whom I've come to rely on when it comes to being a better teacher in my classroom. The one downside of going back to school...it's all online through ACU's online program and the classes are super jam-packed with loads of homework and paper writing. See, it's a non-traditional Master's program designed for people like me who are in the field teaching, can't quit their jobs to be in a traditional classroom setting, but want to continue their education. So, the classes are only six weeks long and I have to attend two classes (six hours) per semester. I only take one class at a time because the program developers knew that there was no way that people who are working and going back to school could focus on more than one class at a time. This all means, like I said earlier, that the classes are super condensed and we have loads of homework and paper writing. You see, the classes are broken down into six modules and the typical amount of homework assignments is anywhere from 5-10 assignments per module. One of my earlier classes had a total of 45 assignments...in six weeks! And I'm not talking like short little mini assignments...it's more like doing tons of research accompanied by a five or six page paper! I say all of this because this weekend I'm going out of town to see my sweet, precious, and very fashionable Mimi. I'm her mini-me...and when people tell me that it's quite possibly one of the best compliments. I like to call her my "Glam-Ma!" So, in the process of knowing that I'm going to be at her house (she has no Internet connection and therefore I can't do any of my online work at her house) I've been slaving away these past two days trying to get my five assignments done for this one module. It's totally worth the work...plus I'll be able to relax for the weekend and pretend for a few days that I'm not in school...oh those were the days! And did I mention that I'll be taking one of our three dogs with me?!?!? She's my baby...not that I don't love the other two dearly...but she holds a special place in my heart. Her name is Faith and the reason why she's so special is because my sweet, amazing, and loving husband surprised me with her a little over two years ago. So, any time I get the opportunity, I take her with me where ever I go. Plus, my Mimi just loves her and she gets even more spoiled rotten down there than she does at home, so it's fun for all of us!
This is me with Faith back in October...we took pictures at the State Park and we could hardly keep her still from wanting to go and sniff around and chase all the animals that were running around!
Here she is...she usally doesn't sit still for very long...so we have to caputer those moments quickly!
